TARNBECK PONIES FOR SALE, BROKEN, UNBROKEN AND YOUNGSTOCK SEE THE FOR SALE PAGE
The Tarnbeck Fell Pony Stud was founded in 1973, and is run by the Williamson Family who are, Dennis, Gwen, Judith, Helen and Ieuan
We bred our first fell ponies in 1974 and have bred many more ponies over the years. Our prefix was taken from the beck which flowed from Seathwaite tarn down the valley passing through our farm. After Dennis and Gwen retired from farming in 1995 we moved to the local market town of Ulverston which is where we are based today. We still breed, produce and show our own Fell Ponies as well as some bought in ponies. Our ponies have been shown successfully over the years having bred two best of breeds at Olympia in the Baileys Mountain and Moorland Ridden Championships, Tarnbeck Major and his full sister Tarnbeck Maydew

In 2008 Gwen was made the president of the Fell Pony Society which is a great honour for her and which she was very proud to accept. Over the years Gwen has been a council member and a judge representing the Fell Pony Society all over the country and abroad in Holland. Gwen is also the rosette affiliation secretary for the Fell Pony Society distributing the special rosettes to the competitions that promote the Fell pony breed,
Now following in their mothers footsteps Helen and Judith have also become Fell Pony Society judges, both having worked with the ponies since they could walk.
